Privacy Policy

Top 10 Perth is a small independent website. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell your information. This page explains what we collect and why, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Reading the Site

You can read every list without giving us any personal information. Our host, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

The weather on the homepage comes from Open-Meteo. Your browser fetches it directly, so Open-Meteo receives your IP address as part of that request. We don't send them anything else.

We use Google Analytics to see which lists people read and how they find them. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. We use this in aggregate only. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Saved Places

When you tap "Save" on a list, the saved places are stored in your own browser (local storage). They are never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Contact Form and Newsletter

If you contact us or sign up for the newsletter, we collect your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply to you or to send the newsletter you asked for. Messages from the contact form are delivered by Formspree, a form service based in the United States, which stores them on our behalf. The newsletter will use a similar email provider. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.

We will never add you to a mailing list you didn't sign up for, and we never share your details with businesses on our lists.

Links to Other Sites

Lists link to businesses, maps and other websites. Once you leave Top 10 Perth, their privacy policies apply, not ours.

Your Choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete any personal information we hold about you by contacting us. If you're not happy with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
